Cubs News: David Ross apologizes for being caught doing double birds on TV

This wasn't the best look.

Chicago Cubs manager David Ross went viral for the wrong purposes on Thursday night for giving the double middle finger to former Cubs player Joc Pederson as a joke.

"Need to address the double birds first," Ross told the media in the dugout on Friday.

"I should definitely know better," Ross apologized. "It was kind of my hello to a friend of mine on the other side (Pederson) and just got caught on camera.

"I don't want any kids out there giving the birds to anybody," Ross said. "It's not the way I want to represent this organization or myself or my family. Poor taste. Sorry, it got caught on TV."

Ross added that Peterson certainly took notice of his gesture.

"It definitely got the person's attention," he said.
