Report: Cubs World Series Trophy damaged during Epstein's charity concert (video)

It turns out having a trophy that took 108 years to win go crowd surfing is not a good idea.

According to several reports, during Theo Epstein's charity concert in Boston on Saturday night both the 2016 Cubs World Series Trophy and the 2004 Boston trophy Epstein won with the Red Sox were in attendance. While Epstein and Eddie Vedder rocked out on stage, Epstein directed the trophies to be passed around the crowd.

While being passed from person to person some of the fragile flags at the top of the Cubs trophy were damaged or torn off. The trophy had to be repaired before Sunday's game with the Red Sox when the trophy was to be available for photos with fans.
