WATCH: Bote makes barehanded snag, spectacular throw on tough grounder |
CHICAGO — Rookie Chicago Cubs sensation David Bote, who recently hit a miraculous game-winning grand slam, produced yet another highlight early on against the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday.
Inciting the Wrigley crowd in the third inning, Bote barehanded a tough grounder hit by Lorenzo Cain on the edge of the infield grass. The young third baseman then fired a sidearmed throw across the diamond to first baseman Anthony Rizzo to just get the inning-ending out. Whether it be on offense or defense, Bote has proved that he belongs on the Cubs' big-league roster with his play as of late.
