WATCH: Highlights from Cubs' 5-3 victory over Giants

by - Senior Writer -

CHICAGO — The Chicago Cubs (67-58) defeated the San Francisco Giants (63-63) 5-3 at Wrigley Field on Tuesday. Taking part in their first contest since wrapping up a 10-game road trip, the Cubs won thanks in large part to solid performances by Nicholas Castellanos and Anthony Rizzo.

While Castellanos put the Cubs on the scoreboard with a first-inning solo shot, Rizzo went on to tag Giants starting pitcher Tyler Beede for two home runs, thus giving Rizzo 25 dingers for the year. Rizzo went 3-for-3 with one walk and led the charge for the North Siders.
