WATCH: Strop collects save in his first game back

by - Senior Writer -

After getting activated from the injured list earlier in the day, Chicago Cubs closer Pedro Strop wasted no time in collecting a save in his first appearance since early May. Entering in the top of the ninth of the Cubs' contest with the Colorado Rockies at Wrigley Field on Tuesday, Strop did not appear at all hampered by the hamstring issue that landed him on the injured list.

Going three up, three down, Strop breezed through the Rockies' lineup in the ninth frame, forcing three straight groundouts to collect his fifth save and finish off the 6-3 Cubs win. Strop celebrated the victory with his teammates in the handshake line and seemed thrilled to be back in action.
