How to longer are we going to have to wait for the closer. This was a typical game that if you have a closer we should have won. 1-4 against the last place team is not only frustrating its rediculous to let this game slip away in the manner. This cannot continue to happen. The bullpen will be ineffective in the 2nd half. This is one of the worst losses of the year, so far. Just can't happen.

The closer didn't lose this game it was lost in the 7th inning when they let the Reds tie them.

Totally agree. I said it earlier this week, not driving in runs in scoring position is killing them right now. That is the stuff that picks up bullpens when they are struggling like right now. Great observation.

Wait-- are we talking about Friday night's game? Cishek gave up both the tying run and winning run, so yes, he absolutely blew it. (But I'd agree stranding 30 men a game isn't helping matters).
