Interesting fact about Ronald Reagan. His calls of the ballgames on WHO radio in Des Moines was by getting ticker tape accounts of game in action by wire, then recreating the play-byplay action all while not being at the game.

Yeah, I remember watching the Cub game game at Wrigley were he was telling Harry Carey how he broadcast the games.... and I thought just like you... Pretty Cool!

Ronald Reagan was the best. Many people didn't appreciate him until he was done in office though. First President in a while who said, "What? They shot at you? Well then, shoot back." Loved that man.

Agreed. In my lifetime he was my favorite President. Just seems like politics wasn't as vicious as it is now. I remember reading how President Reagan and then democratic speaker of the house Tip O'neill would occasionally share a beer at the end of the day. Can you imagine any democrat & republican doing that know....sad.
