If you’re waiting on a Kris Bryant trade, you may be waiting a little longer, as the Red Sox have created a “trade embargo.” Full Story »

I would like to make a comment about team rights to get medical records of players traded. The commodity comment: I think any team has the right to know if they are being given a player in a trade that is not healthy. After all the player expects to be paid and the team should pay for what they expect they received.

I being a Cub fan and being aware of one of the worse trades they ever made. When general manager John Holland of the Cubs traded Lou Brock to the Cardinals for sore armed Ernie Broglio. Why did the Cubs not have the right to ask for Lou Brock back? The Cardinals cheated the system!!

1) One of my least favorite aspects of baseball is the prevailing idea that you need to trade your superstars rather than let them walk. Pay them what they deserve and keep them OR use that money to go buy other superstars. You're not going to replace KB. Not in the short term or in the long term. He's a key element of this team and needs to stay til he's done.

2) I can not wait to see the first Chapman/Altuve at bat this year. 104mph at his ribs? I hope so.

You can't replace KB but some teams want to make sure they get something instead of nothing when their franchise types leave in free agency.

Different teams have different strategies and it appears that the Cubs are going to move him eventually during their apparent rebuild process.

If they seriously thought they were a title contender, I doubt they would be thinking of such a move regardless of a few prospects.
