T6 — Cubs catch a break. Oft-criticized umpire Angel Hernandez misses fairly obvious checked swing on Russell, which should have been strike three. After that, Russell hits sacrifice fly to CF that scores Contreras to tie the game.

T7 — This inning is the best the Cubs offense has looked in a few weeks. Baez lays down perfect bunt to reach 1B & load bases. Still no outs with bases juiced. Dodgers may be kicking themselves for pulling Kershaw when they did.

F — Cubs secure series split to close out road trip. 7-run seventh helps Cubs bounce back from early offensive struggles to pound Dodgers in series finale. Rizzo goes 4-5 with 3 RBI & is one of several great offensive performers for Cubs on afternoon.
