This piece cuts right to the numbers making a case for Bote earning a permanent seat on the 25 man roster. I know he did play some SS in Iowa, and Allison is right, he's the most plug-in-able player we've got right now. A 20.7% K rate? That's big boy, major league stuff right there folks. As a fan, I like Bote because he plays hungry, and us a very patient batter. There just isn't anything to dislike. He's a Cub, and a good one. He is a keeper.
Agree about Bote. I think he is a smooth defender and can rake. Of course, he will eventually slump and it will be interesting to see what kind of hitter he actually becomes potential wise.
Hopefully, this small sample size is kinda a preview of how good of a player he eventually will be.
