Rizzo, Arrieta receive their Silver Slugger Awards

Chicago Cubs duo Anthony Rizzo and Jake Arrieta received their 2016 Louisville Slugger Silver Slugger Awards in a pre-game ceremony before Friday afternoon's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

In 2016, Rizzo batted .292 with 32 homers and 109 RBIs. For his MLB career, he has batted .267 with 134 homers, 425 RBIs, and .362 on-base percentage.

Arrieta batted .262 with two doubles, a triple, two homers and seven RBIs last season. In the postseason, he had a homer (NLDS) and three RBIs in five at-bats. Arrieta is the first Cubs pitcher to win the Silver Slugger Award since Carlos Zambrano in 2009.

Rizzo and Arrieta are the first Cubs players to win the award since Aramis Ramirez in 2011.
