by - Senior Editor -

Chicago Cubs catcher Willson Contreras has become friends with 10-year old kid named Daniel Rodriguez who has Down's Syndrome. The two first met in spring training from Advocate Children's Hospital.

Contreras gave him a jersey, his helmet, batting gloves and a warm embrace before Tuesday afternoon's game against the White Sox.

Young Contreras is becoming a fan favorite not only for his play on the field but his charitable efforts off the diamond.

Here are a few pictures of Willson and Daniel together on the field.
