WATCH: Cubs fan loses eye after foul ball incident

by - Senior Editor -

Chicago Cub fan Jay Loos is slowly going blind after getting hit by a foul ball at August in Wrigley Field.

"Every day, every morning I wake up, I'm going to be worrying about this 'sympathetic eye syndrome,' and did I just see my last sunset?" Loos said to CBS Chicago News.

The Cubs released a recent statement about the safety of all their fans at Wrigley Field.

"Fan safety is paramount to the gameday experience at Wrigley Field. We will continue to work with Major League Baseball to explore ways to ensure our fans enjoy baseball in the safest possible environment."
