108-year old Cubs fan dies after World Series

by - Senior Editor -

108-year old Cubs fan Mabel Ball was able to see her beloved Cubs win her second World Series in her lifetime last week.

However, she didn't last much longer as she passed away on Election Day on Nov. 8 at the assisted living Covenant Village of Northbrook.

Mabel stayed strong and waited around until her Cubs were able to end the curse. She actually was born the year they won the World Series in 1908 and was a big Cubs fan her whole life.
