Front office of the Cubs ranked #1 in the majors

by - Senior Editor -

Sporting News released its latest article on Tuesday ranking the top major league front offices and the Cubs duo of Theo Epstein and Jed Hoyer were listed #1.

"If Theo Epstein is the architect of the teams that break championship droughts for both the Red Sox and Cubs, he will be a legend forever," Sporting News said. "Whether or not that happens, the Epstein-Jed Hoyer regime in Chicago has perfectly executed a rebuild, with the core of the lineup — Kris Bryant, Jason Heyward, Anthony Rizzo, Addison Russell, Kyle Schwarber (though he's out the rest of this season) and Jorge Soler — all 26 or younger and part of the picture in Chicago for years to come. The farm system remains impressively stocked with quality prospects, which only serves the notion that the Cubs are not only a juggernaut this year, but a major force to be reckoned with for years to come."

The top 10 list of front offices included the Cubs, Giants, Rangers, Red Sox, Cardinals, Pirates, Astros, Royals, Nationals, and Dodgers. The Cincinnati Reds have the dubious honor of being ranked as the worst front office in the major leagues.
