Report: Cubs scheduled to visit White house

The Chicago Cubs will visit the White House as part of their Victory Tour on Monday according to multiple reports.

The team will visit on Monday, Martin Luther King Jr. holiday and will have a photo opportunity with President Barack Obama before his farewell address on Tuesday night. His term will expire on Jan. 19 as President-Elect Donald Trump will be sworn into office on Jan. 20.

Obama, a diehard Chicago White Sox fan invited the Cubs in early November and the Cubs will finally have time to take him up on his offer before he leaves office.

The President was rooting for the Cubs to win the World Series since his White Sox were not in the playoffs. He recently said the World Series title "is actually, for Cubs fans, the greatest thing since sliced bread."
