WATCH: Grandpa Rossy uses rotary phone to vote for All-Star game |
David "Grandpa" Rossy wants you to vote for his Cubs teammates for the 2016 MLB All-Star game on July 12 in San Diego.
In the following video, Ross uses a really old-fashioned rotary phone to try to text his vote in. The voting will end on Thursday, June 30, at 11:59 p.m. EST. Fans can vote up to five times in any 24-hour period for a maximum of 35 times. Give Grandpa Rossy credit. He’s trying to #VoteCubs.
The Cubs should be represented well for the 2016 MLB All-Star game on July 12 in San Diego as their die-hard fans have voted in massive amounts for their National League Central-leading team. Anthony Rizzo is currently the top vote-getter with 1,264,404 votes. Impressively, three other Cubs players are leading vote-getters in their respective infield positions: Kris Bryant has 1,172,717 votes, Ben Zobrist has 1,140,808 votes and Addison Russell has 832,191 votes. Dexter Fowler is now first among National League outfielders with 1,170,718 votes while Jason Heyward is fourth with 703,911 votes despite his disappointing offensive start to the season. This is so awesome guys. Let's keep the voting going. I want to see the entire @Cubs line up at the All-Star game! pic.twitter.com/N6xED7Hp2d
