Chicago Cubs lineup vs. Marlins: Matt Mervis at 1B, Nick Madrigal at 3B

The Chicago Cubs (16-16) will face off against the Miami Marlins (16-17) on Saturday afternoon (1:20 pm CT) at Wrigley Field in Chicago, IL.

The Cubs' lineup for Sunday's game is expected to feature a mix of veterans and young talent. Leading off for the Cubs will be Nico Hoerner at second base, followed by shortstop Dansby Swanson in the second spot.

Ian Happ will bat third and play in left field, with Seiya Suzuki batting cleanup and playing in right field. Cody Bellinger will be in center field, batting fifth, and Trey Mancini will serve as the designated hitter and bat sixth.

Rounding out the lineup will be Matt Mervis at first base, Nick Madrigal at third base, and Tucker Barnhart behind the plate.

On the pitching front, the Cubs will have Drew Smyly, a veteran righty, on the mound. Smyly has been in excellent form this season, with a record of 3-1 and an ERA of 2.83. He will be facing off against righty Matt Barnes, who has a record of 1-0 and an ERA of 3.86.

Pitching matchup: The Cubs will have veteran righty Drew Smyly (3-1, 2.83 ERA) on the mound against righty Matt Barnes (1-0, 3.86 ERA).

Smyly has a 1.11 ERA in his last 9 starts at Wrigley Field.
