Cubs News: Maddon sets his pitching rotation for playoffs

by - Senior Editor -

Cubs manager Joe Maddon announced on Tuesday afternoon his pitching rotation for the National League divisional round for his ballclub.

The following pitchers will go in order: Jon Lester, Kyle Hendricks, Jake Arrieta, and John Lackey.

Lester was second in the majors with a 2.44 ERA and has tons of postseason experience as he will be making his sixth division series start.

Three Cy Young candidates out of four pitchers is impressive for any team.

FYI: Maddon also said that Jorge Soler is a game-time decision on Friday based on his health after workouts. The Cubs do not have to announce their playoff roster until Friday.
