Cubs ranked #1 in ESPN's Power Rankings

ESPN has released its latest MLB Power Rankings on Monday and the Cubs are on top at the #1 spot with a 73-43 record and currently sitting in first-place in the NL Central with an impressive 12 game lead over their rival St. Louis Cardinals.

"After a series split with the Cardinals, caused primarily by bullpen blowups, watch for the Cubs to make two moves before rosters expand on Sept. 1: One to reach out to Jonathan Papelbon, given the familiarity with Theo Epstein, and one to add a left-handed bench bat to counteract the Tommy La Stella standoff," ESPN said.

The top 10 teams in ESPN's MLB rankings were the Chicago Cubs, Washington Nationals, Texas Rangers, Cleveland Indians, Toronto Blue Jays, San Francisco Giants, Baltimore Orioles, Los Angeles Dodgers, Boston Red Sox, and St. Louis Cardinals.
