CHICAGO — Cutting into the Washington Nationals' lead over the Chicago Cubs on Sunday afternoon, Cubs catcher Victor Caratini skied a towering solo blast down the right-field line. Coming in the bottom of the seventh, the dinger made the score 5-3 in favor of the Nationals.

The moonshot, which served as Caratini's seventh long ball of the season, was just fair as it sailed past the foul pole in right field. Carrying 409 feet at Wrigley Field, the round-tripper off Nationals reliever Hunter Strickland boasted a launch angle of 36 degrees and an exit velocity of 112 miles per hour.
