WATCH: Alec Mills make unbelievable between-the-legs catch as Cubs turn two |
CHICAGO — Although he will not pitch a no-hitter on Saturday night, Chicago Cubs pitcher Alec Mills will have perhaps the best web gem of his career to take away from his start against the Minnesota Twins. Mills' quick reflexes were on full display when he gloved a comebacker to spark a 1-6-3 double play.
Jorge Polano hit a leadoff single in the top of the fifth at Wrigley Field, and Marwin Gonzalez followed that with a sharply hit comebacker that Mills reached down and snagged off a bounce. Mills then fired to shortstop Javier Baez at second base in order to out Polanco, and Baez threw to first baseman Anthony Rizzo to complete the double play.
