CHICAGO — The 2020 Crosstown Classic went out with a bang on Sunday, as the Chicago Cubs (34-26) and the Chicago White Sox (35-25) combined for 18 runs and 19 hits at Guaranteed Rate Field. The South Siders scored seven unanswered runs in the final two innings, but the North Siders held on for a 10-8 victory.

As a result of their win, the Cubs, who won 2-of-3 in the series on the South Side, earned a 3-3 split in the six-game season series versus their intercity foes. Billy Hamilton sparked the Cubs by becoming the first North Sider to homer and steal home in the same game since 1967. Better yet, the home run hit by Hamilton marked his first long ball since 2018.
