CINCINNATI — Shutting out the Cincinnati Reds (14-18) in the seven-inning opener of a day-night doubleheader, the Chicago Cubs (19-13) won 3-0 behind a solid six-inning start on the mound by Yu Darvish. Anthony Rizzo came through with a pair of solo home runs off Reds hurler Trevor Bauer for his 18th multi-homer performance as a major leaguer.

The other run plated by Chicago came via a fielder's choice that Jason Heyward hit into, scoring Kyle Schwarber. Cincinnati went 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position at Great American Ball Park on Saturday afternoon, and the North Siders snapped their three-game losing streak.
