WATCH: Rizzo hits go-ahead 2-run blast off 'King Felix'

by - Senior Writer -

After the Seattle Mariners put together a 3-run fourth inning to take a 3-2 lead over the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday, Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo put his club back on top with a 2-run blast in the top of the fifth. Going yard off Mariners starter Felix Hernandez, Rizzo cranked his sixth dinger of the season on a 2-run shot out to left-center field that made the score 4-3 in favor of the North Siders.

The round-tripper plated Kris Bryant, who led off with a double to left before taking third base on a wild pitch. Rizzo's blast carried 389 feet into the seats and left the bat sporting a launch angle of 29 degrees and an exit velocity of 103 miles per hour. It served as the second home run of the game coming on a sinker thrown by "King Felix," as Daniel Descalso went yard on a Hernandez sinker in the first at-bat of the night.
