PITTSBURGH — Giving the Chicago Cubs an early lead on Wednesday, catcher Victor Caratini smacked a 414-foot solo home run off Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Chris Archer in the top of the second. Diving the no-doubter out to right-center, Caratini put the Cubs up 1-0 on the Buccos.

Marking Caratini's third homer of the season, the dinger at PNC Park left the bat at 109 miles per hour and sported a launch angle of 19 degrees. Caratini swung at the first pitch thrown to him and sent the four-seamer flying into the bleachers.
