WATCH: Walkoff Schwarbomb! Kyle Schwarber hits dinger in extras to beat Reds |
CHICAGO — With his first hit out of the infield on the night, Chicago Cubs left fielder
Kyle Schwarber provided his team with a walkoff victory over the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday. Clubbing a solo bomb in the bottom of the 10th, Schwarber lifted the Cubs to a 4-3 win.
The towering dinger, which boasted a launch angle of 38 degrees, carried 359 feet out to left-center and descended into the basket at the top of the wall, sending the Wrigley Field faithful into a frenzy. The game-ending blast marked Schwarber's 21st home run of the season. We’ll take this dinger to go, please.#Walkoff #EverybodyIn pic.twitter.com/LXsaCKzuHA
