Bears make several roster moves

The Chicago Bears announced on Saturday afternoon that they have activated veteran running back Damien Williams from the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Williams missed the rivalry game against the Packers after testing positive for COVID-19.

In 2021, Williams has rushed 32 times for 137 yards and two touchdowns.

David Montgomery is still out with his knee injury so Williams and rookie Khalil Herbert will likely split the load on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

In other roster news, standout defensive tackle Akiem Hicks has been downgraded from questionable to out for Sunday's contest.

He is still battling a groin injury and didn't travel with the team.

Defensive tackle Margus Hunt and guard Dieter Eiselen have been flexed from the practice team and will be on the active roster for Sunday's game.
