Cubs starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks is still on the disabled list with his right-hand tendinitis. However, there is some good news on the horizon for the reliable Cubs starter.

Joe Maddon on interviewed by 670 The Score on Wednesday afternoon and said that Hendricks will throw a side session Friday or Saturday and then go on one rehab start. Maddon didn't project a definite return date for Hendricks with the Cubs in the rotation but it appears it could be the series after the All-Star break.

Hendricks is 4-3 with a 4.09 ERA (28 ER/61.2 IP) in 11 starts with the Cubs this season.
