CHICAGO — Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery left the opening drive of Sunday's game versus the Green Bay Packers with a hyperextended knee but returned and scored a touchdown. Montgomery reached the ball out across the goal line for a two-yard score, putting the Bears up 7-0 over the Green Bay Packers.

Bears return man Cordarrelle Patterson gifted his team with great field position to begin the Week 17 matchup at Soldier Field after intentionally fielding the opening kickoff out of bounds. Montgomery hyperextended his knee on a carry but returned soon afterward and capped off the drive with a rushing score.
