CHICAGO, Ill. — The Chicago Cubs (32-26) won their second straight on Tuesday by toppling the Colorado Rockies (31-28) at Wrigley Field. Winning 6-3, the Cubs put three of their runs on the board via a pair of monstrous home runs. In the bottom of the fifth, left fielder Kyle Schwarber swatted a 467-foot solo bomb, and in the ensuing inning, shortstop Javier Baez bashed a 2-run moonshot that sailed 440 feet.

Cubs starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks produced a 7-inning gem on the evening and received the winning decision because of it. Also of note, Carlos Gonzalez, a former Rockies outfielder, started in right field for the Cubs against his old team and tallied two RBI in a 1-for-3 plate performance.
