Cubs ranked #1 in latest ESPN Power Rankings

ESPN released its latest MLB Power Rankings on Monday and the Chicago Cubs are on top at the #1 spot with a 47-20 record and currently sitting in first-place in the NL Central with an impressive 12.5 games over the St. Louis Cardinals.

"The Cubs ended the week with a sweep of the Pirates and currently have their largest division lead (12½ games) since 1929," ESPN.com said.

The top 10 teams in ESPN's MLB rankings were the Chicago Cubs, San Francisco Giants, Washington Nationals, Texas Rangers, Boston Red Sox, Toronto Blue Jays, Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Indians, New York Mets, and St. Louis Cardinals.

The Chicago Cubs start a three-game home series vs. their rival St. Louis Cardinals on Monday at 7:05 CT.
