Chicago Cubs centerfielder Dexter Fowler pulled up lame while running to first base after hitting a ground ball in the first inning on Saturday night against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Fowler left the game with some right hamstring discomfort and was replaced by rookie Albert Almora Jr. in center field. Fowler is being further evaluated by doctors and we will update his situation.

For the season, Fowler is batting .290 with seven home runs, 28 RBIs and an on-base percentage of .398. In his career, he is a .269 batter with 72 homers and 319 RBIs.
