Cubs News: Fan pays $71,800 for 4 World Series tickets at Wrigley Field

Chicago Cubs fans are dreaming of taking the next step in the season by winning the National League Championship Series and moving on to the 2016 World Series.

One Cubs fan bought four tickets to the World Series in Chicago for $71,800 on StubhHub according to ESPN Senior Writer Darren Rovell. Fortunately, the customer will receive a full refund if the Cubs happen to not make the World Series.

The actual median price for a ticket on StubHub for Game 1 of the NLCS at Wrigley Field is currently around $500 but dropping slightly on Thursday afternoon.

The Cubs will next play the winner of the Dodgers-Nationals on Saturday at 7:08 CT at Wrigley Field.
