Cubs News: Javier Baez named to WBC All-Tournament team

Cubs second baseman Javier Baez was named to the World Baseball Classic All-Tournament on Thursday. Baez helped Puerto Rico reach the finals of the event and lost to the United States 8-0.

Baez batted .308 with a homer, five RBI, and four stolen bases for Puerto Rico. He also had several memorable defensive plays and was impressive on the basepaths.

In 2016, he batted .273 with 14 homers, 59 RBI, and an on-baes percentage of .314.
