Cubs Victory Parade had massive attendance numbers

The Chicago Cubs celebrated their first World Series title since 1908 on Friday afternoon with their Victory Parade.

The city was full of people singing "Go Cubs Go" and waving to their favorite players as they drove by on large blue buses from the parade route from Wrigley Field to Grant Park.

The Office of Emergency Management and Communications told the Chicago Tribune that an estimated crowd of five million showed up. This shatters the 2005 White Sox parade that had under two million fans in attendance.

The Blackhawks had a very respectable two million fans for their parade even as hockey is not as universally popular as baseball.
