Cubs starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks left the game in the fourth inning after getting hit by a ball by Angel Pagan in the right forearm. When Hendricks was warming up trying to stay in the game, his arm started to tighten up and the Cubs decided to remove him from the game after only 53 pitches.

Cubs skipper Joe Maddon decided to bring in Travis Woods who got the Cubs out of the inning still leading 4-2.
