WATCH: Kyle Schwarber gets standing ovation at Wrigley

by - Senior Editor -

Chicago Cubs fan provided injured left fielder Kyle Schwarber with a raucous standing ovation as he was a member of the player introductions for the opening home game at Wrigley Field on Monday night.

The Cubs announced this past Friday that Schwarber would miss the remainder of the season due to full tears of his right ACL and LCL and a severely sprained ankle.

In 2015, Schwarber hit .246 with 16 home runs and 43 RBIs in only 69 games in his rookie season.

Check out the following short video of the fan's reaction to Schwarber coming onto the field with his crutches.
