Justin Fields sets Bears record with impressive first half vs. Broncos

In the first half of Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos, Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields achieved a remarkable feat, setting a new team record.

Fields, who had thrown for three touchdowns across the initial three games of the season, equaled this tally within the first half of Sunday’s game.

He impressively connected for two touchdowns to Cole Kmet and one to DJ Moore, putting the Bears in the lead.

Notably, Fields achieved an extraordinary milestone by completing his first 16 passes attempted during the game, establishing a new Bears record for consecutive completions. The prior record was held by Shane Matthews, who completed 15 consecutive passes in a 2000 game for Chicago.

His only incompletion was a hail-mary attempt with as time expired at halftime.

Fields has completed 16 out of 17 passes for a total of 231 yards and three touchdowns and the Bears have a 21-7 lead over the Broncos.
