Cubs News: Kyle Tucker leaves game with an injury |
King Tuck might be out of the lineup for a while.
Chicago Cubs standout Kyle Tucker left Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Reds after jamming his right ring finger during a slide into second base. Cubs officials confirmed an early report that it was a jammed finger. Tucker was seen receiving attention from the training staff in the dugout before being replaced in right field by veteran utility player Vidal Brujan. For the season, Tucker was hitting .283 with 12 homers and 39 RBIs. Update: Cubs officials have announced that x-rays were negative on his jammed finger and he is currently day-to-day. Counsell said during postgame interviews that he is "not too concerned" about the injury.
