Cubs News: Bryant tweets about the passing of Jose Fernandez

Marlins standout pitcher Jose Fernandez passed away in a boating accident as authorities found a 30-foot boat overturned that had crashed into rocks off Miami Beach around 3 am EST, and three people were found dead according to multiple reports.

Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant weeted his sadness over news of Fernandez's passing on Sunday morning.

"So sad, Bryant tweeted. "Prayers for Jose Fernandez and his family. Such a joy watching him play the game. "He will truly be missed."

Fernandez was only 24-years old and prayers out to his family and everyone in the Marlins organization.

Today's game against the Atlanta Braves has been canceled.
