Nico Hoerner, who has been sidelined with a hamstring injury, is making positive strides in his recovery. According to Ross, Hoerner is on track to be activated from the injured list on Friday. This news will undoubtedly come as a relief to Cubs fans, as Hoerner's presence in the lineup provides a significant boost both offensively and defensively. Another noteworthy update concerns Cody Bellinger, who has been dealing with a knee injury. Ross shared that Bellinger took part in batting practice, hitting in the cage, and could potentially be available off the bench tonight. However, the Cubs are taking a cautious approach by not rushing Bellinger back into the lineup.
