CHICAGO — One of the highlights of the Chicago Cubs' offseason was star first baseman Anthony Rizzo and his wife, Emily, becoming dog parents. Kevin Rizzo, an adorable dachshund, is the newest member of the Rizzo family.

Rizzo returned to the Cubs' lineup on Wednesday after missing time with a back injury. With the Cubs taking on the Minnesota Twins at home, Rizzo received a warm welcome via a message on the Wrigley Field videboard from his trusty canine companion. Clearly inspired, Rizzo crushed a two-run homer in the first inning.
