THE PALATINE POUNDER STRIKES AGAIN!

Chicago Cubs outfielder Mike Tauchman smacked an opposite-field solo homer into the left-field bleachers on the second pitch in the first inning against the Nationals to give the Cubs the 1-0 lead.

It was his fourth homer of the season, and it traveled 365 feet.

The Cubs have now scored 17 runs in their last four innings.
