SEATTLE, Wash. — In the big leagues, teams often live and die by the home-run ball, and, when facing off against the Seattle Mariners (18-14) on Tuesday, the Chicago Cubs (15-12) definitely lived by it. Tagging Mariners pitching with three home runs, Cubs hitters made a mark at T-Mobile Park in Chicago's 6-5 victory.

Daniel Descalso started the contest off with a bang, as he notched the first home run hit out of the leadoff spot by a Cub this season. Later on, Anthony Rizzo and Kyle Schwarber each smacked a go-ahead 2-run jack, with Schwarber's monstrous 440-foot no-doubter in the top of the eighth proving to be the winning hit.
