WATCH: Caratini has nasty fall after his amazing catch

by - Senior Editor -

Baseball can be a physical game despite MLB trying to police some of the home plate collisions out of the game.

During Sunday's game against the Rangers, catcher Victor Caratini made an impressive catch in foul territory near the Rangers dugout before slipping and falling on his head. It was pretty hard fall straight on his head to the ground.

His head and neck area were checked out by the medical staff and somehow he was able to stay in the game.

Hopefully, Caratini will have no ill effects of this collision with the ground because he is a very valuable member of the Cubs serving as the backup at catcher and first base.
