Cubs News: Darnell Mooney injury update

by - Senior Editor -

The Chicago Bears might be the walking wounded after Sunday's contest against the New York Jets.

Veteran safety Eddie Jackson has already been carted off to the locker room with a foot injury, and now standout receiver Darnell Mooney is headed to the locker room with an apparent leg injury in the third quarter.

Mooney was unable to put any weight on his left leg when he walked off the field.

Bears officials announced that Mooney has suffered an ankle injury and is doubtful to return to the contest.

Mooney has 40 catches for 493 yards and two touchdowns this season.
