Zac Rosscup has seen major league action in parts of the last three seasons after making his major league debut with the Cubs in 2013 ... originally selected by Tampa Bay in the 28th round of the 2009 draft, he was acquired by Chicago in January of 2011 as part of an eight-player deal with the Rays. In 61 career major league relief appearances, is 3-1 with seven holds and a 5.40 ERA (28 ER/46.2 IP) ... has struck out 57 in 46.2 innings, good for an average of 11.0 strikeouts per 9.0 innings. Is 16-10 with a 2.64 ERA (77 ER/262.1 IP) in 139 career minor league games, including 28 starts ... has struck out 316 batters in 262.1 minor league innings, good for an average of 10.8 strikeouts per 9.0 innings. Took part in the Cubs inaugural Rookie Development Program in January of 2013 and the 2015 and 2016 Cubs Caravan events. Attended Chemeketa Community College in Salem, Ore.
