Not fun news tonight to report.
The Cincinnati Reds announced that Monday night's contest against the Chicago Cubs at Great American Ball Park has been delayed due to inclement weather in the area.
"Tonight's game will not start on time due to inclement weather," Reds posted on social media.
6:47 p.m. CT update: The Grounds crew is preparing to remove the tarp.
The new start time is 7:25 p.m. CT.
When the game does get started, the Cubs will have veteran lefty Jon Lester (0-0, 0.00 ERA) on the mound against lefty Wade Miller (0-0, 0.00 ERA).
In 2019, Lester had a 4.02 ERA with 20 strikeouts and seven walks in 15 2/3 innings against the Reds. Miller on the other hand, has a 3.92 lifetime ERA against the Northsiders.

5:20pm CDT - Biggest question now is after the main line of storms, does GABP get clearing like in box 1, or annoying light rain like box 2? It’s positioned almost directly between. 6:13pm CDT: Looks like last round of showers begin around 6:25-6:30 and should last until 6:50-7:00pm CDT. Clearing behind that. Sunset in Cincy 7:54pm CDT so a little daylight left. pic.twitter.com/OX81acBwRC— Cubs Weather (@cubsweather) July 27, 2020
