CHICAGO — "Put it on the board! Yes!"

That famous home-run call has served as the primary catchphrase of legendary Chicago White Sox announcer Ken "Hawk" Harrelson throughout his career as the play-by-play man for White Sox television broadcasts that has exceeded 30 years and spanned over four different decades.

With Harrelson taking part in his final broadcast before retirement at the Cubs-White Sox game on Sunday at Guaranteed Rate Field, the Cubs' broadcast team of Len Kasper and Jim Deshaies paid tribute to Hawk by using his signature call on a home run hit by Kyle Schwarber of the Cubs.

While Harrelson has not exactly won over Cubs fans throughout his career, as he has made several snarky remarks regarding the Cubs franchise and Wrigley Field, he is still a Chicago broadcasting legend, and the classy move by Len and J.D. to pay homage to him was a great sendoff for a great career.
